COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM FOR DESIGN 2019
The CEED examination will be conducted in two parts. All candidates must answer both the parts.
Part A is a computer-based screening test. It evaluates visualization and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, observation and design sensitivity. Candidates who are shortlisted in Part A using the method mentioned in the brochure will qualify for the evaluation of Part B.
Part B evaluates drawing, creativity, communication skills and analytical and problem solving skills. Part B scores will be calculated using the method mentioned in the brochure.
The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A marks and 75% weightage to scores obtained in Part B.

CEED result will be displayed on this website on March 4, 2019.
The CEED 2019 score card can be downloaded from March 4, 2019 from this website. It is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. The CEED 2019 score card cannot be treated as a proof of date of birth, category or disability status.
CEED 2019 will be held in the following cities :
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Vishakhapatnam.
CEED qualified students are eligible to apply for the MDes and PhD programmes in various institutes. The CEED 2019 score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result.
Please note that a CEED score does NOT guarantee admission. A candidate must apply to respective institutes for admission and fulfil other requirements such as tests and interviews of the respective design departments. Admitting Institutes will also verify the eligibility, the category certificates and other documents along with the CEED score.
Please note that from this year onwards, candidates who have obtained a degree or diploma of min 3 years programme (after 10+2), can appear for CEED examination. Some of the result sharing institutes will allot seats in their M.Des. programmes for admission through CEED, with the eligibility criteria of degree or diploma of 3 year programmes as well.
The announcement for admission to the postgraduate programmes in design will be notified by the individual institutes separately. The criteria for post graduate admission and award of scholarship / assistance are different in different institutes. The CEED office, IIT Bombay is not in a position to provide information in this regard.

World University of Design (WUD) joins CEED 2019 as one of the Result Sharing Institutes. WUD will admit students through CEED score to its M.Des. Programmes for 2019-2020. Eligibiliy Criteria: degree or diploma of min 3 years (after 10+2). For more details visit their website.
