Common Entrance Exam for Design 2018 For MDes and PhD Programmes
CEED 2018 will be conducted by IIT Bombay on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 to 13:00 hours. The last date for online application for CEED 2018 is now over. Candidates who have applied can download their admit cards from December 25, 2017.

Examination

The CEED examination will be conducted in two parts. All candidates must answer both the parts.

Part A is a computer-based screening test. It evaluates visualization and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and cretivity, observation and design sensitivity. Candidates who are shortlisted in Part A using the method mentioned in the brochure will qualify for the evaluation of Part B.

Part B evaluates drawing, ceativity, communication skills and analytical and problem solving skills. Part B scores will be calculated using the method mentioned in the brochure.

The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A marks and 75% weightage to scores obtained in Part B.

Registration Form

CEED Registration Form must be submitted through the online registration website. Please read the information given in the brochure before filling out the form.

Programmes

CEED qualified students are eligible to apply for the MDes and PhD programmes in various institutes. The CEED 2018 score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result.

Please note that a CEED score does NOT guarantee admission. A candidate must apply to respective institutes for admission and fulfill other requirements such as tests and interviews of the respective design departments. Admitting Institutes will also verify the eligibility, the category certificates and other documents along with the CEED score.

The announcement for admission to the postgraduate programmes in design will be notified by the induvidual institutes separately. The criteria for post graduate admission and award of scholarship / assistance are different in different institutes. The CEED office, IIT Bombay is not in a position to provide information in this regard.

For details or any specific queries on admission and programme of the individual Institutes, the candidate should contact the concerned head / convenor / coordinator of respective departments. Information on the programmes may also be obtained from websites of the respective institutes as listed below. Revisit these pages from time to time for updates.

Result Declaration

CEED result will be displayed on this website on March 5, 2018.

The CEED 2018 score card can be downloaded from March 5, 2018 from this website. It is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result. The CEED 2018 score card cannot be treated as a proof of date of birth, category or disability status.
